Suzanna, ok about the ref then. unless others feel differently.

Yes the feature title originally included corporate vampirism.

Our power now lies in our words and the understandings and feelings that we
can evoke with such.

It is a creative simile as in corporations are as blood thirsty as vampires
for something very very real.
And this fits the demo. And the reality!

I do think something like vampire should be the title.

As I think about transnational corporations in third world and vampires,
I feel more and more strongly that corporations are at least as bad as
vampires.

Indeed, it might be an insult to vampires to compare them to corps.
Corps are worse.
Corps are soulless, amoral, immortal organizations where the strongest
survive by exploiting people the most and by eating their own ilk.
Corporations are death and torture machines of global scope.

A term like vampiric corporations or corporate vampirism evokes both
understandings of just how bad corporations are and gives rise to emotions
of moral indignation... or challenges one to look into this by engaging in
some analysis. For someone whose political consciousness is not awakened,
they would have to ask: how is that corporations like vampes?
And it just happens to be the case that they are just like vampires... and
blood thirsty pirates... and plagues run wild with destroy their
hosts. Corporations are very horrible things and pointing to the
contradictions between the positions of the folks who temporarily run them
and the organizations operations themselves and the conditions of those
they kill and exploit to profit are one of the few ways we can change
public consciousness.

So...

I believe the title should be:

actions against vampiric corporations
or
actions against corporate vampires
or
actions against corporate blood suckers
or
actions against blood sucking corporationgs

Of course, if there are Anne Rice type vampire lovers out there, I could
understand not wanting to insult the possibilities of the modern
rehabilition the vampire myths by comparing them to the true horrors of the
modern day global corporation.

So, folks, can we put vampire or blood sucking back in the title?
