If people can make it and move things forward, then go for it. i won't be
able to make it, but I would like to know any outcomes, just generally, not
verbatim. Our working list has been pretty slow, which for me is fine
because i have not had time to deal with it, but if people can be concise
and direct we can pick it back up more.

Let me throw out what I want to do with CIMC in the future.

I want like to focus on making stories about sustainability, such as urban
agriculture, Bikes Not Bombs, CSA farms (Community Sustained Agriculture),
etc. Other things as well, but I'm a little burnt out from doing protest
stuff. It's my way of taking things deeper. No blood or oil.

I am also enthused to work on outreach, both as a photo guy and in trying to
figure out the puzzle of how we can healthily grow ourselves.

I'm curious to see if our fundraiser will help get video people together.
I talked to a photo-girl at the showing, but I'm not sure what she wanted to
do. I tried to listen and give her a vision, but I got the same feeling I
seem to get from many of our inquiries. Perhaps this is where we say,"we
need someone to be in the office monday nights, answering the phone,
following the newswire, follow chicago area and national websites, and it
would be great if you could research information on such and such." And
maybe from this they will develop their own vision? to acknowledge that
most poeple are used to being told what to do and from there make them into
an independent creative individual who is able to participate as a whole
person.

I'm not sure what to do about getting people from outside our
social-economic class to participate aside from asking them. I haven't sent
anyone away, so I would be curious why we don't have a diversity reflective
of Chicago. Any thoughts? Do we make a center column feature "we're
awfully white in our office and need some other folks to step up". Quite
frankly, I don't feel guilty because as i said, I haven't sent anyone away.
I would be happy to have korean/african-american/hispanic/blue/green people
involved and if there's something we can do about it I would be happy to
know.

anyway, glad we put the FUN in FUNdraiser, garth
