hey gang,
Matt wrote me back with lines on some really great films. it's been
murmurred by several folkses that we should have another/more film showings.
I would like to propose:
a. can we get in contact with WIDC and let them know we would like to go
ahead with regular, or a series of dates. Chris G. and Dick are leaving as
I type for a month and I fear they are the contact peops. (?)
b. give Matt something of a budget? I would like to propose an intitial
100 dollars. and then future money can come from the profits of the
screenings.
c. we don't all have to support the screenings everytime and some of us may
not be able to any of the time, while others will be able to all the time.
please voice your level of support when you weigh in with your thoughts.
support would mean bringing some simple refreshments or helping out at the
door.
solidaritat,
g.
ps. I think the flavor of the films Matt is turning up would be create a
nice thing in the Chicago activist community. I think we could also use the
screenings as a time to show contemporary imc video work contraposed with
the long tradition of media activism.
