[CIMC-work] purchasing request

Garth, all,

On this issue (iwfr.org), I think it's totally 'newsworthy' (if you will).

Since it would be CIMC funds paying for the battery and tapes, if it's
approved, the equipment would be the domain of the CIMC. You'd be more than
welcome to cover these freedom rides as a video journalist.

I'm actually much more interested in video production work, but I think it
would be good for the CIMC to have at least one digital camcorder at its
disposal.

Regarding video, I'm backlogged at the moment. I'm mostly looking forward to
getting my iBook back from the shop tomorrow so that I can edit some video
footage that's been sitting around for far too long.
