a focus on Chicago Indymedia. This is both an explanation of what
Chicago Indymedia (and Indymedia generally) does and aims to do, and
also encourages new participants to get involved in different ways
as interested, to let participants make their own media and their
own minds.

The list of possible topics includes (but is not limited to):

the history of Indymedia
the scope of Indymedia
open publishing
how Indymedia works, including Indymedia software
skillshare and networking for local Indymedia opportunities,
including radio, TV/film video, writing,
photography, web/techincal work, and other
Possibilities for improvement and expansion of the network and Indymedia's
audience, both locally and globally

Active participation by all participants is encouraged and expected.
