[CIMC-work] Re: Proposal: consider blocking New Project List

Garth, CIMC,

Many, if not all, lists at the global IMC level seem to have been created in
an ad-hoc fashion. I still don't see any evidence of a formal, agreed-upon,
network-wide procedure for decision-making at the global level, including
the creation of lists. Global participants seem to be self-selected, with
questionable dynamics back to their own collectives.

I subscribed to the New Project list just to be in the loop. I'll forward
stuff from there as I feel is appropriate to our CIMC collective, as I do
material from all the global lists I am subscribed to.

If you have found a US-IMC list (*not* US-IMC-Process), please let me know
how to get to its archives.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with being critical. It's an important
faculty to have and exercise.

Chris, can you give us some solid reasons for this list? or is it another
sideshow list that will be abandoned in a month like
many others?  If it doesn't serve a quality purpose, I propose we block it's
creation.  fill us in please, thanks, garth

ps.  i spent this afternoon trolling through abandoned lists for quite
sometime before i found the us-imc list.  i feel i have a
pragmatic basis for my thoughts.  I am really striving to be positive and
constructive, but do think sometimes a foot needs to
be put down.
