Tom Baker here. I have calls into CHIAPAS MEDIA for 
a contribution to the F ja16 screenings, also hunting down
the title of the Iraq film, something about Iraqi filmmaker 
trying to get to Baghdad. 
    It is a high level work -- professionally, how it was done, 
tech stuff; and thematically, very strong. We enteract with 
Iraq grassroots. Filmmaker exiled to France during Saddam 
regime. I think the time is recent, but before MARCH 20. 
    It is feature legth but we could. I think, run an excerpt. I 
advocate for it if I can find it. 

I think Nicaragua Solidarity would like to be added to the 
lists of sponsers. We are working turnout. 

CHUY NEGRETTE  will perform for us Friday night.  He has 
for me a wonderful act of blending comment and humor 
into Mexican songs of peoples struggle, Zapata. Another 
call came to him as we were talking; he doesn't know 
yet we commit $50 plus selling CDs. His act is flexible in 
duration, but respect the artist. A life of work had gone 
into this performance.   We may ADD to Friday night 
program.  


ORGANIZATIONALLY THINK. We should encourage tabling 
for both nights. We should offer tabling to SPONSER for 
a nominal $10 and COMMITMENT to TURNOUT. 


MIAMI FTAA REPORT BACK in both evenings I think is 
really smart. If people thought my footage of the people 
at the demonstration and march in Miami were useful, I 
would like a spot on the circle.

I've attached the draft press release for the upcoming
media festival in January.  Some details I left out
because I don't know them, like the name of the Werner
Herzog movie, for example.

Please comment and suggest revisions.

Also, very important, Labor Beat has requested
permission to have a table at the festival.  I
personally, being totally biased, think that this
should be okay as they are a bulwark of independent
media.
