hi everyone,
a friend & user of the imc uruguay site has been called by the police to
declare regarding the "attacks" (paint) against a nationalist group
headquarters. 
he was asked many questions, some of them about imc uruguay - he could see
the police had a list with all our e-mails, four of them highlighted in
colour.
he was told imc uruguay would also be called to declare as JRN (that's the
nationalist group) had started a case against us because there's their
leaders' picture on the site, and "threats".
we still don't know whether we will be called (or whether it's true there is
a case against imc uruguay) - we think we'll not, but we want to be
prepared. 
we would like to know whether there's some kind of "standard declaration"
about 1) the open newswire 2) there not being a person "in charge" or
responsible for the site.
They might try to make someone "responsible", as this is the law for the
media - only electronic media are not covered by this law. But it could
happen. Maybe you know about other cases when these two concepts (open
publishing system & no boss) had to be explained. Every advice/suggestion on
this is welcome.
I'd like to add that this JRN group has been bothering us since June, when
the leader sent a mail to imc global saying we should be removed from the
global network as we were "everything but independent", marxist, and a lot
of other things (please find the text attached). At the time our list was
open, so this person has all our e-mails and wrote to us again, mildly
threatening with "the world is a small place, we shall meet again". It's us
who should be filing a case against them!
Then there's been systematic postings on the site which had to be removed.
The picture in question, the one he objects to, was an anonymous posting,
and it was taken from their own site. They wrote a lot in the site, as I
told you, but never asked for the picture to be removed.
