The Haymarket Martyrs Monument
The female figure, which represents justice, stands
over the figure of a fallen worker (both in bronze) at
the Waldheim Cemetery in Forest Park, IL a few miles
west of the Chicago line. The Haymarket Martyrs
Monument commemorates the Haymarket tragedy of May
1886 and serves as an icon of the international labor
movement.
