okay foks,

1. footage to screen. If we got the Scott Ritter flick that could be a
main feature. Second, sounds like this
person Dan has some good footage of local and recent stuff including
Chicago F.15, Iraq Peace Pledge Die-in, and the Leo Burnett action. Between
the two, I think we would have enough content to show. I would like to
see featuring regular videographes as a part of our screenings-encourages
them to shoot more. : )

2. Place and time. What are we looking at for a time? also, could someone
send me the logistics such as place and capacity. If I get a chance I would
go see it to help envision what we are doing. Will we need to pay them a
space rental fee?

3. Publicity. While I know we are trying to do this asap, we should allow
ample time for publicity. I have to say that I look to Chris and Dick for
at least direction in this. Would we do one of Hammerhard's FaxBlasts? If
there is a large action/event preceding our screening it would make sense to
have 1/4 size fliers to hand out. Can we allow like $20 of our funds to
printing these? Can we make one of these fliers into a giant poster to put
on the window of the space we are showing?

4. Miscellaneous thoughts. As we are doing this as a fundraiser, should we
offer Dan something for the use of his footage? or is the opportunity to
show his footage enough? It would also be an opportunity to sell copies of
his film....
Beer and refreshment foods....can/should we sell beer? other food?
Invite the Food Not Bombs kids or make and sell our own burritos?
Door packages. I really like MLE's door project and am willing to give
my labor support and money too. If it doesn't materialize for the first
showing we can still get it together for following screenings. We should
make it manageable by limiting it to the first 20 people at the door or
somesuch.
We shouldn't just close up shop when the films are done, but give
people enought time to chill with eachother. And of course one of us should
make a spiel on the films, Indymedia's place in the anti-war movement and
why they should utilize us for their local projects.

5. I hope this helps us to get the fundraiser together. I don't mind being
the coordinating person on this, though I am going for a job interview
Friday at Northwestern. But I think I will have enough time to follow this
out. ciao, Garth

okay folks, as you see I am contacting NYC and Dan whom it sounds like has
some good footage of local and recent anti war actions.
Need to know what is up on our potential space, also logistics, like who
the contact is, where it is, and what it is. What are we looking at for
potential dates? at least two weeks from now? I know we want to do it
asap, but we should allow ample time for publicity.
