Elizabeth, all,

My understanding of CIMC decision-making is that those who participate in
creating and/or delivering content firstly and primarily for the CIMC site
may also participate in CIMC decision-making. Our meetings, on the 2nd and
4th Sundays of each month, at 4pm, at 3411 W. Diversey are where
participants may come to consensus on various issues.

My understanding of this IMC-Chicago-Working list is that this is where CIMC
participants may discuss various issues of import to the functioning of CIMC
and the larger IMC network. I'm unsure if this list should also be
considered a valid venue for decision-making, in addition to the regular
meetings.

> [...] for whomever from chicago deals with finance at global [...]

I have been acting as a liaison for the CIMC collective, to the global lists
that I am subscribed to, including IMC-Finance. However, to be painstakingly
accurate, I do not "deal with finance." That is not what a liaison, by
definition, does. No inclination or position of mine can be said to be
representative of the CIMC collective. If there is no consensus from the
CIMC collective, then I have no liaising to do.

On this topic please also see this recent post:
