Garth, 

I know offhand that at least two of our office computers could do audio editing. All that's required is a computer with audio-editing software, and a USB port. 

Incidentally, these Archos devices have one dire idiosyncrasy:

You must record each new file to a different folder, otherwise if you don't change the name and then you start recording, you'll overwrite the previous recording (which has the same name). I set up empty folders as "Recording Folder #1," #2, etc.

Everyone around Chicago IMC, please let people know that we have the capabilties to get their audio edited and posted to our newswire. Hi-fi, lo-fi, tape, microcassette, whatever....
