An action is being planned for the 2003 Chicago Air & Water Show.
Officially, the CA&WS goes from 9AM to 4PM, August 16 and 17. Exactly how
much of that time will be devoted to the action is not entirely clear yet,
but soon will be.

What is clear is this: a combination of anti-militarism leafleting and
banner-holding, as well as a mobile youth contingent doing guerilla
theatre-type action designed to dramatically expose the brutality of U.S.
foreign policy, marching or otherwise mingling throughout the crowd are
among the plans. The request is to have two NLG members present:
one with the leafleting contingent, and the other with the youth.

Leafleting actions have happened at the Air & Water show before, but this
year's is going to take place amid a more polarized political climate than
the nation has recently seen, and it looks as though our presence this year
may be the largest ever, by far. Given the nature of what we plan to do at
the Air Show, i.e., expose the fact that it is essentially a two-day,
multi-million dallor "ad" for the military, and given the hostility with
which actions like what is being planned have been met in the past, and the
likelihood of that hostility-weather coming from the police or from the
civilian "yahoos" who fervently support murderous U.S. foreign policy-to be
particularly sharp in the current political climate [...]
