Don't worry, there are no heady constitutional issues involved in the suit.
It is a simple matter of a collective member raising concerns about self
censorship of the radio working group and giving up of the independence of
Houston indymedia.  Rather that deal with the concerns through the consensus
process, what has become known as the clique, issued a statement and posted
it on the himc website attacking the character of the persons raising
concerns.  It is a libel case pure and simple.  The statement is still up
continuing to present potential damage to someone's otherwise good
reputation.  And, the statement posted is untrue.  It fits all the criteria
for libel.
