i'm trying to organize a celebration of independent media here in chicago for sometime around july 4. redline radio and Chicago Media Action are in. Sorry i didn't consult with you all, but i proposed a joint fundraiser at the RLR meeting yesterday and it blossomed into this. 

there will be a preliminary organizing meeting and brainstorm session at my house on saturday from 2 to 4 pm. please someone from indymedia come! i'm at 4841 N ashland ave 2F. 773-592-0373 close to the ravenswood metra stop and the lawrence red line and bus stops.

i figure this will be a great way to promote independent media: news, publishers, record labels, radio, whatever. 

this would also be a great time to sell and ad book, too, to raise dinero. and incorporate that into a Guide to Chicago Independent Media.

whattaya think? if there's a lot of dissent, there's still time to call it off. like i said, sorry i didn't ask you guys, but there's really not much time. let me know what you think.
