[CIMC-tech] Final reminder: RE: [CIMC-work] To whomever wants to take over theindymedia calendar-I am givingit up as of now==and someone elsedoes need to take it overimmediately

Apparently no one has replied to Elizabeth on this issue. I'm not sure what's going on with the
calendar, but if posting the CCAWR calendar to the short notices at the top is undermining Elizabeths
work, that should have been discussed and/or stopped.

At this point Elizabeth is giving up the responsibility, so it's a mute issue. We need to discuss what
we want to do. Are we scrapping the Calendar? If not, someone needs to pick it up- a techy person I
assume? And where do we point that email?

Can we come to a decision on this and not ignore Elizabeth who has been a very dedicated and
perhaps underappreciated tech person?

Sincerely,
Garth

I am reminding folks for the final time that I have stopped doing the
calendar.

I am adding that people are still sometimes posting to the staging
calendar, in spite of the Events re-route in the Events section.  I
strongly suggest that if you  disconnect and disable the calendar if you
are abandoning it for the CCAWR calendar (as seems to be your desire) or
start caring for it.

Also, please change the chicago at indymedia.org alias to point to
somewhere other than my e-mail, I would suggest to make it a member of
either working or tech and then re-route it there.  I set it originally
on the .forward on turtle.

Again, good luck.

Elizabeth

calendar-I am givingit up as of now==and someone else does need to take
it overimmediately

I have decided that since the Events calendar appears to have been
permanently redirected away from the indymedia calendar and there has
been only one post (that wasn't mine) to the chicago indymedia calendar
in the past two weeks--when I would normally average one or two
daily--that I am handing this back to the group and leave the group to
decide whether they want to abandon the calendar.  I am personally not
into useless work.

Below is the times I have checked the calendar each day the past 14
days.  I had been keeping a log like this for myself in case there were
issues and then generally deleting it after a few weeks presuming that
all was well with the calendar.

My handing the calendar over will also require someone re-routing the
chicago at indymedia.org alias to one of the lists, preferably tech or the
work group.

Folks can look for my posts of last week or before for background on why
I have decided to call it quits. Good luck.
