[CIMC-work] CIMC Workshop for Chicago Social Forum

You might have heard about the upcoming Chicago Social Forum:

I'm working to get CMA a workshop spot, and I'd like to see Chicago
Indymedia get a workshop spot as well.  Would CIMC be interested in
forming a workshop?  If so, organizational workshops have a registration 
fee of $25.

Is anyone interested in joining me in writing up a proposal?  We
have until Wednesday to submit a proposal by email.  

I'm thinking of having some kind of Chicago Indymedia/general IMC primer,
describing the media opportunities available (radio, TV, web, writing,
center panel, tech, other...), and asking for suggestions/opportunities to
improve.   We could make it into a general skillshare as well as
opportunity to expand our base outside the usual suspects.

If you want to work on this, let me know (soon).  Otherwise, I'm going to
write something and submit it to the imc-chicago-working list for
your perusal sometime in the next day or so...

I also wonder if we might have some kind of monthly Chicago Indymedia
newsblast by email (much like the Chicago Media Action monthly newsletter,
and if you aren't on the list for that, let me know and I can add you).
