Hi, Chrystine, and everyone on IMC-US-Process,

I'm Chris Kaihatsu, a volunteer reporter with the Chicago Independent Media
Center. I am not empowered as a liaison, except as indicated by CIMC
consensus.

I'm a half-Japanese, half-Lithuanian, 30-year-old guy from Chicago. I report
on undercovered events in the city of Chicago as I'm able and willing to do.
I'm very glad that Indymedia allows "anyone" with a pen and paper and
Internet access to cover the news that they think needs covering, and
publish it to the world.

I'm also glad to see that media technology has finally matured so that
"anyone" with a few hundred to spare can be equipped with digital tools for
capturing, processing and finishing digital media.

I hope this IMC-US-Process list will take some traffic off the main process
list and allow more non-US posts there.
