[CIMC-work] New alt. print project: Chicago Currents

just wanted to drop a note to y'all 

that I met last thursday with Rik Adamski, a gentleman who is starting a new alt. paper in Chicago, 
called Chicago Currents.

He is serious about it and seems like he has the experience/skills/knowledge to pull it off.  plus he 
said he's willing to subsidize the monthly.  He hopes to get advertising from progressive 
stores/groups.

basically the paper fits between what the reader does and what the NYC IMC's Indypendent does.  It 
will focus on Chicago alternative/activist/underground culture events such as music, screenings, etc.

Editorially-wise he proposed it would have more courage than another Chicago paper.  It would not 
be ideologically dogmatic too, he said.  he is a liberal.


Right now he is looking for a graphics designer, photo editor and another word editor.
