The calendar system (for both staging and main caledars)is acting up
right now--I've been having trouble moving items this morning--if you
could try again a bit later. The events decisions are made by the
editorial group and usually come from issues that are closes to the core
issues--unlike the calendar which is pretty wide open. I will forward
along to the working-group or perhaps Ian will have a better answer.

hey elizabeth and ian. thanks for your help. i'm trying to post an
event to the calendar, but the "staging calendar" is not responding. if
there's any way we could get it up on the general calendar as well as
the center column of the front page, that would be excellent. i've
posted the event
at:
http://chicago.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=31116&group=webcast
here is the entire text of the announcement. thanks so much.

Time and time again, the SHAC campaign has taken out HLS's most

Remind the British government that they were among the first victories
of this campaign, selling their shares hastily and running with their

necessary. SHAC will not stand for corporate welfare to HLS!

So long as its in the Chicago, sure. I believe the calendar has
instructions on it. If you want to be in the events panel at the top of
the center column, you should write an article for the newswire
describing the event, location, time, etc. Then email us a link to that
article and we can put up a one-line summary with the link in the events
panel. It should only go up there about a week before the event, but
you can post the article to the newswire anytime.
