[CIMC-work] May Day screening update

Dear collective,

here is the update on May Day screenings.  The gist of it is that we can
have quite a few simultaneous screenings going on if we want.  However,
this will require some folks helping me out with logistics.

1.  Polvo Art Studio has said we can use their space for a video
screening.  Wall space is a question; there will be an artist exhibiting
her work then and it is a question of how much space she will use and if
she would take any of her stuff down.
---By far this is the best offer we have had so far.
---As a back-up I would suggest using my apartment as a gallery for the
photoexhibit, as it is in the same neighborhood as Polvo.

2.  Decima Musa.  There is a Latino musical act booked for May Day who has
agreed to let us show videos.  They are doing some social justice stuff as
well, like domestic violence education.

3.  I received a call from Salsedo Press (thanks Tom B.) that they will
screen our videos.  This is not the ideal screening situation given audio
difficulties.  Maybe we can set up kiosks or have some television sets set
up?

4.  Buddy is up in the air.  I think Edmar is too busy to get back to me,
but my guess is that he would probably be agreeable to us showing videos
there.  I'm not sanguine about the photoexhibit being there.

The logistical thing is having someone helping to coordinate at each of
these venues if we so desire.  I'll be the point person for Polvo.
