Many people ask, "whatever happened to the anti-war movement?" Someone put it
very succintly: "those who think the anti-war movement has diminished, are
probably hanging out with the wrong crowd. The anti-war movement is growing, and
those who want to change the course of history need to be around likeminded
people."

We invite all people who stand for peace to a fundraiser party organized by
the Chicago Indymedia to support CIMC volunteer photographer Garth Liebhaber's
[link] trip to Iraq. He will be joining Christian Peacemaker Teams delegation
on May 20, 2004. CPT [link] offers organized, nonviolent alternatives to war
and any situations where lethal conflict is an immediate reality. CPT stands
for conscientious objection to war, and seeks the development of nonviolent
institutions, skills and training in conflict situations.

We need your support to make this happen!

This will be a fun event for a great cause. Join us on May 8 for the
fundraiser dance party which will kick off with an informational (--->not sure about
wording here) on the missions of CPT and CIMC -- two very important projects in
this time of unfettered war. We will be screening our latest and greatly
anticipated television show and a recent film on Iraq (---> Garth, please provide
the name and a brief description here). Also shown will be an exhibit of Garth
Liebhaber's recent anti-war photography.

We are asking for a donation of $12 ($10 with reservation), which will
include food (veggie chili and appetizers), a raffle with great prizes, great music
and, of course, great company! There will also be an auction for progressive
artwork.
