CIMC'ers

Mr Kolb has increased his 'contributions' to the IMC-Chicago email
list, all of which would be appropriate as article submissions to the open
newswire, but are not appropriate as communication to the C-IMC collective.

We currently have no policy regarding misuse of our list, but it is
clear, as Elizabeth notes, that this has very negative ramifications.

I propose that, one more time, we try to explain to Mr. Kolb what the
appropriate use of the list is for, and how to publish his own articles.
If that fails I think we must block his submissions to the IMC-Chicago
list.

Since we have no policy, I allowed his 13 pieces of email through, but 
this can't continue.

What do you think?

Hey Don,

It looks like admin at laborgroups.org has 13 posts waiting for for
imc-chicago.  These are individual and different--but it looks like
they've just subscribed the list to the list.  I don't get individual
posts--but for those who do from imc-chicago, it will be a pain.  I'm
holding off putting them through.  I'm not questioning the content--all
looks valid--just the volume.  For many of the folks on the list--this
wil be dupes.  I know after getting that many individual hits from the
same source on a list, I normally unsubscribe.

Is there any kind of policy on this?  -- Elizabeth
