Hoi Gois
That all sounds reasonable. As I said, the literature says 13GB=60 mins. of a
project, and that's unrendered. The "multiply by 5" rule of thumb is to be on
the safe side if you're doing everything you can possibly do to a project.
As discussed at our last meeting, I'll be throwing together some titles to fit
around the video footage for episode five. I'll be bringing these titles as
well as the captured project file of Demetrio Maguidad's "Beyond The
Streets"for assembly into a show on the Mac in the Indymedia offices on the
3rd of May. The assembly of the show on this date from all the data files we
bring along will be a collective process and is a wee bit experimental so do
come along and add to the fun.
As long as everyone brings rendered video files for assembly, there should be
no problem with space. We do need to agree on final cut or premiere. I would
prefer to go with final cut, because that's what I'm using, but that's just
me.
NOW. A REQUEST.
A. Sexy Footage.
We need sexy footage for the titles. By that I mean segments of video that are
colourful, captivating and reflect a piece of your mind. There is ABSOLUTELY
no need for this footage to make any logical sense, have any strict narrative
or to be linear in any way. Anything goes as long as you think it's cool and
it's something other people might like/have to see. The footage will hopefully
form part of a collage playing behind the intros and titles for Episode 5.
B. Sexy Music.
We need sexy music for the titles. I think you all know what that means. Some
of you may know people in bands/sing in the shower/play the spoons. I know
some bands have already given us the nod to use their music (thanks Magnus)
but we need more. This is an excellent opportunity to go to bars and live gigs
all over the city and schmooze with rock stars. Don't ignore the sexy DJs
either, if that's your bag. Just come home with the CDs and the nod from the
creators.
Some of you might like to help me with the creation of titles. I will be
working in Evanston at my office after hours so I can't have people in willy
nilly but if you're interested let me know.
If you have anything pertaining to the aforementioned sexy items, give me a
call on my cellphone and I can arrange to pick it up. Or email me or the video
list.7736277625.
THANKS!
Andrew
