RE:VIDEO PAGE
I'm still unsure as to how i can use my newly acquired Indymedia editorial
privileges to dynamically update the site until we get something better
organised. All i need is for someone to let me know how the system works and
where and how to upload to the space on the site where the page is kept. Its
just HTML right now so its no problem to chop and change it as we go. Can
someone who's a bit tekkie on the list give me the lowdown so I can at least
update what we have? My understanding so far has been that once the html is
uploaded I can't edit it which is probably wrong so once someone lets me know
where to look I can do it.
Also, if we want to we can take the site off thomas' uic page and sign up for a
shared web page (less space to upload to, no video for eg.) for very little
(around $5 per month) and use the www.indymedia.tv domain name, which is
available to us, we can. This could be used until space is allocated on the
INdymedia server. It could also remain the address for the show if we wanted
and link to segments of the video on the indymedia site as we had discussed.
Whatever we decide this is an issue I'd like to propose we decide upon pretty
soon so we can get moving on a groovy video web page. Where we keep the page is
irrelevant as long as I and others can get to it and reedit it as we go along.
I noticed moveon.org were sending out banners for people to put on their sites.
I'd like to put one on our page if there are no objections. There is bound to
be other organisations that would like there cause to be highlighted in a
banner on our page. Let me know what you think.
