Emily and all,

I like the idea of multiple photo galleries -- for Garth's work, for your
posters, for the anti-war-posters-site link, etc.   I think they should live
primarily off of the CIMC photo page, with links to them as desired on oter
pages/articles/features. 

I'm unclear what you have in mind using an ALERT button/box for.  Our center
column identifies and publicizes what we feel is urgent, and all related
links can be included in the relevant feature.  Also, maintining an "ALERT"
page is yet another time-critical task which becomes an embarrasment if not
maintained.
