I believe you can have multiple razorwires -- Upcoming Events is the 
only one we have now.  (And Upcoming Events can also hold arbitrary HTML)

They'll all show up at the top of the center column, though maybe we 
could arrange it so that one could show up in the sidebar.  This may be 
what NYC is doing (they are using the same software as us).  I think 
that NYC may have simply moved all Razorwires to the left bar.  (Which 
might be a good idea)
