Dorina, CIMC, all,
I'm not at the meeting right now, and I don't really have anything
agenda-related to add right now.
As an aside, I'm finding your 'process,' below, Dorina, to be very
interesting in that I think it's a good way to handle sensitive topics.
You're openly referencing a specific CIMC-related discussion, without
going through the time and bother to introduce it to more people than
necessary (via this list). And you're also indicating ways you'd be
open to sharing the information to selected parties in the future.
I'm also bringing up a larger point that flows of information are a
critical issue for any organization, but particularly for Indymedia
since it's basically aligned to represent ( -- if only at least by
collectivizing the news of -- ) repressed and underrepresented groups
of people.
I think it's horrible anytime someone has to experience the realities
of "in" cliques and "out" people within revolutionary/liberatory
organizations, regarding information availability. Of course it's a
gray area and right or wrong depends on each particular situation,
within an overall sea of capitalist exploitation and racisms.
So thanks, from me, for providing a useful model.
