hey y'all. going to work up a feature when I get home tonight. will even try to put it to center column- but would be nice if
some one can back me on it. I don't have a picture either. anyway, we can't let the Sun-Times and Trib trump us on this
one!

As all of you are aware our friend and comrade, Bill Hogan, died on December 31 from a heart attack. The Tribune and the
Sun-Times have
carried stories about his life in the past few days. The visitation for Bill will be at St. Bride's Church (7811 S. Coles Avenue,
Chicago) this coming Friday, January 9 from 3 pm - 7:30 pm with a "shared remembrance"
time from 7:30 - 9 pm.  The funeral will be on Saturday, January 10, beginning at 10am (also at St. Bride's Church).

Several of us that worked with Bill during the civil rights struggle, the
anti-war movement in the late 1960's and early 1970's, the fight for workers rights and other struggles are doing a "shout
out" for fellow activists to participate in the "shared remembrance" portion of the
January 9 visitation.  There will be more than enough clergy of various faiths participating but having known Bill since
1968--I can say without a doubt that he would want fellow activists to make their voices heard. If
you knew "Father Bill" and worked with him on a political basis, please
try to join us during the "remembrance" part of the wake on January 10.
"Father Bill" would want us not just to talk about the past but of current
struggles that he was still involved in until his death.

In Solidarity,
Kevin Clark
