Theme/title of workshop: Making Your Own Media

This workshop is a discussion and skillshare about making independent
media.  
Possible topics include open publishing, skillshare and networking 
for media producing opportunities (radio/audio, TV/video/film,
writing/web, photography), and possibilities for improvement.  
Active participation by all participants is encouraged and expected.

200 word detailed description:
This workshop is a free-form skillshare and discussion of independent 
media production.  We encourage new and seasoned media participants 
to get involved in different ways in making media.  
If you thought that you could tell your story as well as or better
than any major media outlet, this workshop is for you.

The workshop will divide into subgroups based on certain media 
opportunities: radio/audio, TV/film/video, print/web publishing, and
photography.  The list of possible topics includes (but is not limited to):

* introduction to the tools of the trade, 
* skillshare and networking for local media creation opportunities, 
* possibilities for improvement and expansion of media-making efforst, 
both locally and globally.
   
Active participation by all participants is encouraged and expected.
