[CIMC-work] CSF Workshop Preparations

We're giving a workshop this Saturday for 90 minutes, starting at
10:45am. The locale will be Jones High School, 606 S. State in downtown
Chicago (the same place where the 2003 Peace and Justice Teach-in was
held).

The plan is currently:

* 10 minutes of me talking about the corporate media and CMA's work, with
a segue to...
* 5 minutes of Chris G. giving an outline about Indymedia, its
mission, and what Chicago IMC does

Then we'll have four mini-workshops on the themes of audio/radio, video
(this means you, video collective!), photos, and writing/web. As it
stands, we'd have one round of the workshops occurring concurrently, then
a repeat round so that people can get exposure to more than one
mini-workshop. Alternatively, we could have each of the mini-workshops be
a presentation before the entire audience.

We may want to decide on the spot which version of the workshop
we decide on (especially if the size of the overall workshop is too small
to warrant mini-workshops). Figure 30 minutes for each of the two rounds
if we do that, or 15 minutes if we do each of the stand-up mini-workshops
with the whole audience.

The remainder of the time would be devoted to address questions, comments,
suggestions, and miscellany.

I suppose the division of labor would be:

* Rita and/or me: Audio/radio
* Garth: photo
* Chris and/or me: writing/web
* One or more persons from the video collective: video

Rita, Garth: I take it that you're both coming. Needless to say, be sure
to have some things to say.

At this writing, I'm still waiting for my laptop. If I get it by Sunday,
I can bring it. Please sound off: Who else has laptops to bring and to
load the Chicago IMC/dada software?

Also, I can bring sign-up sheets for both CMA and CIMC.

If anyone has comments, suggestions, objections, or whatever, to
what's proposed here, please say so.

Thanks all.
