Hey gang,
wanted to give people a heads up on the S.F. issue. the
debacle had been difficult to sort out from afar via email,
but some distasteful things seem to be emerging. similar
to a compulsive liar who eventually contradicts
themselves.

I would like for our group to be aware of the rotten smells
coming from S.F. and be able to respond in an appropriate
manner to our siblings in the Indymedia network in a
supportive way. Potentially, S.F. may be put on a form of
probation. particularly concerning forms of process.

please take a quick look at nyc's response to my response
to U-C. we can definitely take this up at our meeting, but
I would also like some email response to the list, if folks
could do so.

ciao,
garth

Hi everybody,

Chris Anderson from NYC-IMC here. This is just a
personal observation, I haven't discussed it with my
collegues at NYC Indymedia. But I have to echo Garth's
sentiments and the sentiments of others. The entire
smell coming out of SF-IMC absolutely stinks. The
entire fiasco, from when I first heard about the SF
split up until these moderation questions have left me
 very disillusioned.

Honestly, some of the behavior of certain parties to
this conflict, judging only from email, resembles that
of five year olds.In my opinion, this behavior has
done serious and lasting harm to Indymedia as a
 network.

Finally, and again this is one man's personal opinion
only, the tone and some of the content of Nessie's
emails is absolutely unacceptable. I began this whole
dialog with a lot of respect for the SF-IMC folks, a
respect that is now completely gone. I've held off
sending this email for a while because I didn't want
to exacerbate the conflict, but can no longer remain
 silent in good conscience.

I hope some resolution to this dispute can be found,
but I actually highly doubt it.

 sadly,
 chris anderson
