I don't think it's as big a deal to say why you hid an article, because 
someone who's interested can always look at the article and usually the 
problem is apparent.  It's only such a big problem when you delete an 
article, because then no one can look at the original article.  If you 
don't think the problem will be immediately apparent, then it's probably 
a good idea to write why.  There's a select box for standard reasons -- 
though again, if it's a standard reason it probably will be apparent 
from the article itself.

If, say, we had decided to hide the Israeli flag/swastica image (so that 
it would still show up in the article, but not in the media gallery), a 
good explanation of reasons would have been warranted.
