(1.) I'm not the one who posted this here. This is not the proper venue in which to post it. I posted it in a proper venue. Garth posted it here, not me.

(2.) It's not a "bitter attack." It's not an attack at all. It's a defense. SF-IMC is not the only local under constant attack by racist spammers and trolls. This is a network wide problem. It needs to be addressed. Indymedia *must* take a stand against allowing itself to be hijacked by racists. If we do not, we will allow all the credibility we have so painstakingly built up, to be destroyed. Ignoring the problem will *not* make it go away. Au contrair.

(3.) Calling for action on a crucial issue that effects, not just all of Indymedia, but all of humanity, is not an abuse of this list. Reposting stuff here that was originally posted in an appropriate venue, but doesn't belong on this list, is an abuse of this list. Please, Garth, don't clutter this list. Respond in an appropriate venue, then if you must, post an URL here, not an entire article. Please show some courtesy for the other list members.

(4.) Racist trolls and spammers are one issue. The SFBay-IMC/SF-IMC issue is another issue. Please don't confuse them. One effects two locals. The other effects all of us.
