So, being the backward surfer I am, I see Sascha's email provides
'guidelines' and a general statement about the listserve -- but it still seems really
murky to me what purpose the listserve serves (say those two words together
really really fast ten times), beyond 'general dialogue' -- and, of course, a venue
to apparently push through proposals. Garth, others: I am wondering if one
reason there has been flaming/heated debate on the process list about what is
and is not appropriate for the list is because ... well, it's not clear what IS
appropriate for the list, and people on same are debating this out. Am I
getting this right?
