maybe we don't need individual passwords. i'm interested in 1) preserving the
empowerment and group trust afforded to individual members who take
responsiblity for editing the wire; 2) making the technicagl aspects of 'hide' as
simple as possible, and not more timeconsuming. counterproposals?
