Dear Ayanna,
Chicago Indymedia would like to express our regrets over
the mishap with your floor installation. We were not
aware that any destruction had taken place. Nonetheless,
as we were utilizing the space we would like to express
our sympathies.
We will also ask if anyone has knowledge on the mishap
that an explanation or apology from their quarters would
be appreciated.
Dear Readers,
On May 1st Chicago Indymedia held an art event at the
Polvo Gallery on 18th Street. It was a good event all
around, well attended, and well enjoyed.
Unfortunately, a mishap occurred with a floor installation
by another artist who graciously agreed to share space
with us during the event. The installation was damaged
and the artist is understandably upset.
Chicago Indymedia formally apologizes that this incident
occurred under our auspices. We were not aware that any
damage had occurred until later. We also suspect that it
was a mishap due to the lights being low during the
screenings. If anyone is aware of how the installation was
damaged, it would be appropriate to provide the artist
with an explanation or apology.
For further information on the artist, please visit her
website: http://www.artic.edu/~nmcclo/bio.html
Hello, folks,
we need to mend some fences from Saturday. One bad
thing that happened
was that someone messed up Ayanna Mccloud's floor
installation. She is
understandably upset and so is Miguel, the studio owner.
Miguel is requesting an apology on our website to the
artist. How can we
make this happen?
Also, if anyone has any knowledge about who messed up
the installation,
that would probably help, too.
paz,
