i am a chicago member of an international media collective, Calle y Media.
We have just finished a film on the bolivarian movement in venezuela and
are looking for media contacts and sources to begin distributing the film.
We are not just interested in just "getting the film out there" however.
The purpose of the film was to make connections between the movement in
venezuela with related global movements and struggles. In short, we would
like it to be an organizing tool.
We have worked with indy media before (we helped edit sections for the big
media convergence in cancun this summer) and I would like to meet with
someone from the Chicago indy media group to showthe film and the ways in
which we can collaborate with indy media with this film. The film-maker
will be in town this week until Friday and i would prefer if we could meet
together. If either of you have any availabililty this week, please email
me back at this address or calle me at 724-448-8126 or 312-942-9804. Our
website is under construction right now, but you can see a little bit more
about the film at www.calleymedia.org. thanks for your help,
abrazos de solidaridad,
katrina
