[Imc-communication] Re: Inaugural protests

Hi all,

This is Chris from the DC-IMC. A group of local activists here have started planning to protest the presidential inauguration on Jan. 20. Part of the planning involves whether or not an IMC should be set up specifically for the event, like during other mass events. I would like to get a sense of what you all think. Are people planning on coming to Washington to cover the protests? Is there a need for an IMC space for one day or several days? Will we need to organize logistics for video, print, audio, photography and dispatch? As many of you know, the DC-IMC does not have a physical space at this point in time (although we're faithfully moving in that direction!). So arranging to have an IMC will require advance planning. Please let me know your thoughts. Sorry for the cross posting, but I wasn't sure which list to send this to. Chris.
