>[ZM] The editorial list/editorial working group, has long been one of the

>together extremely well

This is very true, especially since most of the hiding work is invisible
and very laborious. This talk of editorial newswire monitoring really
involves a unique kind of task. One has to enjoy reading computer screens
*a lot* and using a computer *a lot.* It's very difficult to find such
volunteers, so the more we ad to the mix, the better. We've been quite
lucky to have folks doing that task.
A continuous review of the policy and audit of why articles are hidden
would help demistify the chore for newbies, and also increase transparency.
I understand that notification to the editorial list is supposed to happen
when stories are hidden. I don't think that's always happened. It's not
always necessary for repeat posts and clear spam. Anyone can see what's
hidden by browsing the "administration" link without a password.
I've never been involved in this group, because it wasn't my interest. I
only pipe up when censorship and double-standards become an issue.
Congratulations on increasing the visibility of the site on Alexa and
making the DC-IMC site a more newsworthy device!! We really need to write a
story about this and document our growth. It's ok to pat ourselves on the
back. Without those who do that work, we wouldn't be achieving ANY of our
goals. You all rock!
