I almost got busted trying to get out of the police pen on M St. I tried 
to talk my way past a police lieutenant and he pushed me back down the 
block.

I saw that Chris got video of Ramsey's stupid photo op. Brian or Chris, 
if you have screen captures of that photo op, I'd appreciate a file or two.

It seemed like the police were mostly interested today in looking tough 
and not in doing mass arrests. I only saw them bring up one empty bus 
during the M Street standoff. I was pretty amused as various residents 
tried to get through the police lines, thinking they could go about 
their business with all of these riot cops around. One guy went jogging 
by me, singing "this is what a police state looks like," until he ran 
smack dab into a CDU officer.
