The world is at war against a network of determined, resourceful, well-financed, and cunning terrorists. Vast stockpiles of nuclear weapons and huge quantities of nuclear material in dozens of countries are vulnerable to theft and misuse by violent organizations and individuals. To securely protect nuclear material, the location and status of every container of nuclear material MUST be pervasively tracked in real time from cradle to grave. Until now, nobody had an inexpensive technology that can actually do this.
Swapcard, Inc., has developed a wireless, IR-based microelectronic device on a chip that could be used as an active tag to track all nuclear materials from cradle to grave.
