Dear Sir or Madam,
I'm conducting research for an honors thesis at Harvard, and I was hoping
to interview you for your perspective on Indymedia and the history of the
IMCs.
Specifically, I'm trying to explore how Indymedia fits into a general
scheme of media reform. Who reads Indymedia? What are the
advantages/disadvantages of open source software? Has readership
increased steadily since Seattle in 1999? How does Indymedia catalyze the
activist community, especially in comparison to other underground media
efforts?
There doesn't seem to be too much literature on this topic so I'm looking
for any help I can get. If you're not the right person to be directing
this query to, can you forward this to somebody who can better help me, or
recommend books/websites/other media to look over?
Thank you for your help; anything you can give will be much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Mandy Hu
