Hi,

My name's Tom Pfotzer. I live outside DC, and I'm really anxious to
deliver a monumental, huge, world-shaking assembly of U.S. citizens at
the anti-War rally this October.

The British deliver 350,000 and we come up with maybe 20,000. There's
something wrong with this picture.

However, it doesn't seem like we're currently on-track to deliver up
that action. There could be a number of reasons for this, and I want
your help figuring out what's going on. Possible reasons include:

a. There's just not enough Americans who oppose the war
b. The people organizing this event are under-resourced
(knowledge, experience, time, money, motivation)
c. There's diffusion of intent; some groups want x, others want y
d. No one't taken it upon themselves to perform a co-ordinating
function amoung all the stakeholders, and get this thing off the ground

Maybe it's something else.

I want to help. Can you put me in touch with someone that is playing a
leadership role so I can pick out something I can do?

I can:
write, promote, telephone, speak, cajole, inspire, direct, plan,
organize, coordinate
    build websites, e-mail distribution systems
    write and distribute press releases
recruit volunteers and get them doing effective things

I also want to put into practice some of the ideas I've posted on Indy
about how to promote Indy itself. When I went to the rally in DC this
past weekend, an awful lot of people didn't know about Indy. That needs
to change. We need to find a way to reach into the mainstream, and give
them some more alternatives for getting information.

Thanks.

Tom Pfotzer
