[IMC-Editorial] Letter: Is Russia with Us or with the Terrorists?

Dear Editor:

Russia's cooperation with Iran to build a light-water reactor that will provide Iran
with weapons-grade plutonium and turn it into a nuclear power is clearly a direct threat
against the security of the United States.

According to our State Department, Iran is the world's leading state sponsor of
terrorism, financing, training and equipping terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda,
Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad. Iran is also one of the centers of Islamic
fundamentalism, the ideology of our enemies in the war on terror.

Iran's claim that its reactors will be used for civilian purposes is absurd. Iran has
more oil to generate electricity than it could possibly consume in the foreseeable
future. Moreover, Iran's intentions towards the United States (the "Great Satan") have
been made clear by 24 years of chanting "Death to America" in state-controlled mosques.

At this point, it is obvious that Russia has decided to side with the Iranian terrorist
regime and against us. Now it is up to us to act accordingly and let the Russians know
that being a friend of the United States is more profitable--and safer--than being its
enemy.

Sincerely,

David Holcberg
