My name is David P. Griffin,

My wife Ronda Griffin was involved in an automobile accident over a year
ago. She suffered injuries from
that accident. She sought medical attention the clinic recommended
Attorney Deborah Hensley.

We met with the attorney Deborah Hensley and retained her to work with
us toward a settlement with
Farmers Insurance in Ronda's behalf.

Ronda's medical treatment lasted for 5 months. But, she felt the last 6
weeks of treatment where
unnecessary. The clinic insisted that she continue treatment until the
Doctor signed her release.

When we first started meeting with Ms. Hensley she seemed interested in
helping us. Then as time went
on it became clear that Ms. Hensley was not really interested in our
case or us. . We began to feel that
Ms. Hensley's only interest in our case was toward herself and the
doctor.

She would bring us into the office and make us wait while she read our
file and made a to do list. The
items she would list, to us we felt should have been completed prior to
the meeting so she could report
results. We found this very unprofessional and very upsetting when 3
meetings later she was still
making the same to do list with no results.

At this point we where so frustrated with both the doctors behavior and
now our attorney's as well..

We decided the case was too far along to start over and decided to just
complete the case reach a
settlement and move on.

We agreed to a settlement that we felt was very unfair with the doctor
and the attorney retaining 79% of
the settlement. Which was not our original understanding or agreement
with Ms. Hensley.

The final straw for us came when a settlement had been reached and we
where called to Ms. Hensley's
office to sign documents and pick up our settlement check. Ronda signed
all the documents put before
her regarding the completion of the settlement including a document that
stated Ronda had been paid in
full.

It was at this time that Ronda was handed the settlement check, with the
wrong name on it. Ronda's first
name was misspelled and her last name was wrong. Now, in the year of
dealing with Ms. Hensley,
Ronda's name had never before been misspelled.

At this point we started doubting that this could be an innocent error.
Of course Ms. Hensley was not
present at the signing of these documents, she had left the office
moments before we arrived leaving a
young inexperienced assistant to handle this situation.

Our frustration and a total lack of trust became so over whelming at
that time. We decided it would be
best if we deposited the settlement check into our account and paid the
doctor and the attorney
ourselves.

We took the check deposited it and issued a check to Ms. Hensley's firm
in the exact amount the doctor
and the attorney stated was owed them.

The attorneys where very unhappy with our solution they called Farmers
Insurance and had them stop
payment on the check and then took the check we had given them in good
faith for their portion of the
settlement and deposited it. Knowing that the Farmers check had a stop
payment on it, why where they
robbing Ronda of her funds while taking their own.

Ms. Hensley, lied to us multiple times, she allowed us to believe for 3
months that everything was
progressing properly when in truth, the doctor took 3 months to complete
their report and nothing was
moving at all on Ronda's case.

Ms. Hensley with her lack of professionalism in bring people in and
making them watch her
incompetence and remembering all the lies given out for 3 months all of
a sudden expected us to
believe her when the check is made out to the wrong person. She did not
even have the fortitude to do
her job and tell us there was an error on the check and we would have to
wait. She left the office dumping
her responsibilites on her assistant.

We went to these people seeking treatment and fair representation.

At this time the settlement check from Farmers Insurance has been
stopped.
Ronda's check to the law firm, has created NSF issues at her bank and no
one has been paid.

We are seeking help from anyone that maybe able to help us resolve this
situation.
