Hi there,
I sue your site occaisionally when I feel a story isn't being represented or covered in its full diversity. I was informed of the recent events in Miami by an associate and in reviewing the story on your site I thought I might make a constructive criticism.
Although stories are comprehensively reviewed and posted, why not maximise on the potential for action related to any individual issue - Why not incorporate a mapping of those authorities who can be effectively petitioned by linking directly to email addresses and sites where individuals can express their feelings and beliefs? Perhaps even diagramming points of contacts and relationships between authorities. Democracy relies on such expression and it is often the case that, while an alternative voice is offered, the interface between 'alternative' and 'traditional' opinion is so slight that avenues for valuable arguement, opinion and negotiation are not available. It thus becomes up to the individual to research a chain of command to effectively contact governing parties, when we all have so little time, and when traditional opinion is so easily digested, perhaps a type of authority mapping in reported scenario's would empower us all to act more effectively and responsively. I hope my suggestion is of interest to you.
I thank you all for providing a voice to us all and in welcoming diverse opinion and debate and I commend you on your commitment to your own and others efforts.
Best Regards,
Glen Durrant
Director of eCommerce
