INTRODUCING DENNIS KUCINICH
For those of you who do not know who Dennis is, let me tell you some
good news. This is an honest man, not controlled by the corporate
power structure, who is running a courageous grass-root campaign for
president. No fat cats have given him any money. The media ignores
him. And the corrupt power structure is not feeling too easy with him
around.
Dennis Kucinich is not your gray Republicrat. He did not bow
down to the dictator in Washington like the rest of the despicable
Democrats did. Along with Senator Robert Byrd, they did everything in
their power to prevent the war. He did not vote for the Patriot act.
He had the courage to speak up when his Democratic collages laid down
and went along with the program.
Dennis is definitely on the Administration's hit list because he
represents something very threatening to them. Freedom, truth, Justice
and democracy. He's the one brave man telling the real truth among all
the candidate hopefuls.
And Dennis is no innocent; he knows what is really happening. He knows
about the secret "chem-trail" spraying in our skies. He knows that 911
was an inside job with the cooperation of the highest levels of the
"intelligence community". He knows an un-elected President sits in the
White House like a dictator preparing to make the next war. He knows
that the next presidential election may be called off if it's looking
bad for Bush. He knows he could die in an unfortunate plane crash like
so many other of our heroes have. But this man has courage to stand up
to the corporate criminals that have taken over our country.
Dennis is a brave man, running in a party that often wins. For those
of you who remember John F Kennedy and the glory he brought to
America, Dennis is of that same caliber. He can make America truly
proud once more and loved by the world like it once was. Dennis is the
only one who can bring down this un-elected Regime -- despite their
corporate control of our airwaves and press. (A lot of men walking
around in suits now will be in stripes behind bars if we get our
country back!) What you do will decide the outcome.
Dennis Kucinich is the one!

"This administration has become more powerful while Americans become
more fearful," Kucinich said. "That's not a democracy."
KUCINICH DEMANDS RELEASE OF INTELLIGENCE THAT LED TO WAR
Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich, leader of the opposition to the Iraq war
in the U.S. House, is announcing at a noon news conference on Wednesday
that he will use a Resolution of Inquiry to demand the release of the
intelligence that led to the war in Iraq, and to Administration claims
that Iraq had tons of biological and chemical weapons, delivery systems,
and a 'reconstituted' nuclear program.
"This Administration led this nation into war based on lies," said
Kucinich. "I think that this Congress, and the American people, have a
right to know what information this Administration had, and how they
justify their public comments. Now is the time for truth-telling."
A Resolution of Inquiry is a rarely used House procedure that Kucinich
used successfully in March to get the Administration to release the
12,000 page weapons report that Iraq had submitted to the UN.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich is running a grassroots campaign for
president, allied with the peace and justice movement. He is the one
presidential candidate who had the courage to vote against the
misnamed "USA Patriot Act."
Unlike the corporate-connected candidates, Kucinich relies on you in
the grassroots to spread the word about his campaign
http://www.kucinich.us and to keep the campaign funded:

donate, and all donations up to $250 are matched, which means your $50
is really worth $100 to our campaign.

Attached is a John Nichols column from today's Capital Times,
"Kucinich Draws Crowd, but Not Media," which points out that no other
candidate attracts the audiences that Dennis does, and yet, big
national media -- like they did with McGovern in '71 and Carter in '75
-- may be missing the story. "If the grass roots still count for
anything," writes Nichols, "then the Kucinich people have earned some
bragging rights. Drawing a thousand people on a Saturday night in
Madison, and being compared with Michael Moore in the Des Moines
Register could yet prove to be more meaningful than flattering
mentions in the New York Times."

KUCINICH CAMPAIGN GAINING GROUND AMONG GRASSROOTS
At a huge gathering of progressive leaders and activists in Washington D.C.
yesterday, Dennis Kucinich stole the show. Speaking to more than 1200 movers
and shakers for civil rights, labor, feminism, peace and the environment at
the "Take Back America" conference (sponsored by Campaign for America's
future), Kucinich "electrified" the crowd with a "spell-binding speech."
To give you a flavor, here's a description from Salon, whose headline
reported that "Kucinich's Bush roasting gets the biggest cheers":
"The most impassioned applause of the day was reserved for Kucinich.
Introduced by Leo Gerard, president of the United Steelworkers of America,
as 'the only vegan in Congress,' Kucinich took the stage to John
Lennon's 'Imagine' and proceeded to conjure the heyday of American
progressivism by promising a new version of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Works
Progress Administration. 'We're gonna rebuild America's cities and we're gonna
do it with America's steel'... Medicare for all, money pulled out of the
Pentagon budget to pay for schools and other domestic programs, and 'total
nuclear disarmament.' He spoke to the crowd's fury over the war in Iraq,
getting a screaming standing ovation when he cried: 'This war was wrong!
This war was fraudulent! We must expose this administration.'
"When he was finished it was clear there was no point in having anyone else
follow him. 'Dennis Kucinich has barbecued George Bush,' said the emcee. 'How
about we have a barbecue right now?'"
The crowd adjourned to a party, according to Salon, partly because conference
organizers took pity on Dick Gephardt and delayed his video message, scheduled
to follow Kucinich, which "would have played like a parody of establishment
banality."

The Kucinich for President Campaign is gaining ground among key activists.
Dennis has been all over TV in recent days for his effort to get answers from
the Bush administration on the misleading claims that led our country to war.
One way for you to connect with other peace and justice activists is to join
the organizing and strategizing of the grassroots group, MoveOn.org (if not
yet involved, go to http://www.moveon.org/keepmeposted/).

PS. While there was no doubt to those in attendance yesterday at the "Take
Back America" conference that Dennis Kucinich had won the event, some
journalists seem so blinded by their preconceived notions of who is
a "frontrunner" or "contender" or "leading candidate," that they have
difficulty reporting objectively on what happens in front of their eyes.
In the Los Angeles Times account, which acknowledged that Kucinich's speech
was "repeatedly interrupted by standing ovations," Dennis is reduced to
little more than a footnote. What's striking about some of the mainstream
coverage of our insurgent campaign is how similar it is to the dismissive
coverage of Jerry Brown in '91 and Jesse Jackson in '87 -- while prominence
and tens of thousands of words were lavished on well-funded "contenders" who
barely made it past the first New Hamphire primary, and whose campaigns are
no longer even remembered.
