Project Peace of Mind Helps Others Find Inner Peace During Anxious Times

MARCH 28, 2003 -- In response to the war with Iraq, the Unity Church of
Peace in Lincoln Park will begin a weekly prayer service called "Project
Peace of Mind," beginning Tuesday, April 1 at 7:30 pm.

"The service is designed to help people in the community turn within
themselves for divine guidance and strength," said Rev. Kent Lederer,
pastor of the church. Open to everybody, the service will last
approximately one hour each week. 

"We're inviting people of all faiths to join us in a calm and welcoming 
space," said Rev. Lederer. "We'll share our desire for peace and experience 
practical techniques that restore serenity to us as individuals. This 
personal consciousness has to translate to the world."

The service will continue weekly throughout the duration of the war with
Iraq. Those who have individual prayer needs are invited to stay afterwards
to pray with one of the church's prayer chaplains, the creators of the
service.
