Dear independent voter,
If you answered yes to the question in the subject line, then you
must be an Independent Texan! Independent Texans is not a party and is an
affiliation of independent minded reform voters in Texas. We seriously
believe the most urgent problem of our generation is the drop in voter
participation, and the erosion of American democracy itself.
We invite you to check out Independent Texans at
http://indytexans.org/about.html. If you like what we're doing, please
join -- it's free. Joining IT helps you become a better informed voter
and
gives you the opportunity to vote in our innovative endorsement process of
candidates and ballot issues via e-mail or regular mail.
If you live in Austin and you read this before this coming
Saturday, May 3rd, our local Austin chapter has endorsed Max Nofziger for
Mayor. If you want to know why click here http://indytexans.org. If you
are undecided about who to vote for in the Austin mayor's race, you can go
to http://www.austinmayor.com and read about all the candidates and decide
for yourself. You can even watch videos of the candidate forums (ours is
under "Indy Texans") on the austinmayor.com site.
I encourage you to participate in our online forum or conference and our
chat room as well at http://indytexans.org/chat and
http://indytexans.org/forum
I hope to hear from you, and I hope we haven't bothered you too
much. Because we are independent of the special interests, we are trying
inexpensive ways to reach people. You will NOT be put on any mailing list
unless we hear back from you that you would like to stay in touch.
Independently yours,
Linda Curtis
